We, the members of The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church of Newburgh believe in the Holy Scriptures and the Trinity.
We are committed to the doctrines and disciples of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. We are preparing ourselves for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and we want to be ready so that He will receive us unto Himself. We believe that it is our "Outreach that determines our Up reach." How can we say that we love God of whom we have never seen and ignore our brother that we see everyday? We are committed to the ministry of being effective witnesses by feeding those that are hungry, and clothing those that are naked. But most of all, offering hope to the hopeless and winning souls to Christ. |
What We Believe |
Our Mission StatementMatthew 6: 33, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you." The word "seek" means to go after, to endeavor to receive. The believer's life is not to be preoccupied with material things, as necessary as some things are; the believer is first of all to be seeking after the kingdom of God and His righteousness. He/she is to seek to become a citizen of God's kingdom, and he/she is to seek others, encouraging them to become citizens of God's kingdom, this is to be the first pursuit of life. He/She is to seek after God's righteousness for himself/herself and for others.
